
There are a number of reasons people would want to visit Reading, PA but one of the most popular is more than likely 'The Pagoda'. This is a facility that was built back in 1908 and was originally supposed to be a restaurant and hotel, but it was never used for this purpose. Today it can be seen from almost every area in Reading, and has become more of a symbol for the whole area. Of course, there is so much more this area of Pennsylvania has to offer but it's probably the most sought after by those that come to visit.
As stated before, The Pagoda is extremely popular, but the Reading, PA area has a lot more to offer. Whether you are looking for outdoor activities, dining, entertainment, educational attractions, or a quick view into the history of the area, Reading can provide this and much more. Founded in 1748 and established in 1833, Reading, PA has a history of war, depression, growth and prosperity. There are a number of different neighborhoods which create the overall makeup of Reading, PA. Each of the neighborhoods are extremely diverse and make an excellent choice for those looking for investment opportunities when it comes to real estate. There are five institutions for higher learning and three different public high schools. The city has a state-of-the-art transportation system that consists of buses, unique roadways, airline travel, and railways. If you're into sports, Reading has teams in baseball, ice hockey, indoor football, and soccer.
If this isn't enough, reading PA also has a variety of different shopping malls such As Penn Sq., Mall and the big Mill shopping center. If you would like to do a little angling, there are a combination of creeks and reservoirs that can provide all that is needed when it comes to fishing. If you like to take that local stroll in the park, you will enjoy places like Pendora Park, Yarnell Park, or Riverfront Park.
