The reason for this is - Lancaster Avenue somewhat ties this community together with the city of Philadelphia. This town is also known as Devon-Berwyn because Highway 30, which is also known as East Lancaster Ave - Lincoln Highway, splits the town right through the middle. The northern portion of the town is Devon while the southern portion on the opposite side of the highway is Berwyn.
